
Player Level
A Player Level helps us indicate where you are at skill-wise.

Level 1
Novice
This is someone who has only had 1 or 2 lessons, previously. This person is learning the basics of tennis: semi-western grip, forehand, backhand, volley, overhead smash, anatomy of the court, footwork.
Level 2
Intermediate beginner
This is someone who knows everything that a novice knows, but is still learning with their ground strokes, volleys, overhead smashes and footwork.


Level 3
Intermediate
This is someone who is around Junior Varsity Level. They have a little less than consistent groundstrokes, move well around the court, have game knowledge, can keep a rally going, and may have an inconsistent serve.
Level 4
Competitive Intermediate
This is someone who is a starter that is Junior Varsity Level or is an alternative for the Varsity Team. They have a more developed game, proficient in all the strokes, but may be 1 or 2 things missing from their games.


Level 5
Advanced and Above
This is someone who is around a Varsity Level. They are proficient at: groundstrokes, volleys, serves, overhead smashes, and footwork. Can be an all-around player.
